Various members of the Cathedral congregation join with members of the Society of Catholic Priests, St Bridget Chapter to lead this liturgy written by Dr Pat Bennett of the Iona Community. Frikki Walker (Director of Music, St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow) plays seven organ improvisations based on the Gregorian hymn Adoro te devote. Pat Bennett has written new words for this tune, sung in this service by Morven Bremner, soprano.
This video is also available on YouTube, which might suit those who prefer to watch on a smart TV. This service will be livestreamed from Society of Catholic Priests, European Province Facebook Page on 5 June at 8pm as part of #Adorate2021, a series of prayer, reflection and worship during Corpus Christi Week.
