How many Bibles are there? Just one? The answer to this and other questions may surprise you. In this five-session course, the Rev Canon Professor John Riches, former Professor of Divinity and Biblical Criticism at the University of Glasgow, explores the holy book Christians read and study. Using the volume he’s written for the popular series ‘A Very Short Introduction’, participants will examine why the Bible has been such an influence on Western culture and why it continues to exert an enormous influence over many people’s lives.
