This Sunday – 8 November 2020 there are two services in church, and there is Online Worship on this website. There are elements of the Online Worship that will be part of the 11 am service in the Cathedral, and the same sermon will be preached both in the Online Worship and at the services in church. Seats for worship in church can be booked at https://thedatabase.thecathedral.org.uk and are usually released each week at 12 noon on Tuesday. This week seats will be released after the Scottish Government has given an indication of whether or there is any change in where the City of Glasgow lies in the Covid Tier levels.
The Online Worship for 8 November 2020 can be found in several videos.
- Three videos that form a service of Holy Communion
- A hymn: ‘Who would true valour see’
- A video for members of the Young Church and their households
The Provost leads this service from the Cathedral. The Vice Provost, the Rev Canon Oliver Brewer-Lennon is the preacher. Liam Brown leads some of the prayers, Pat Bennett leads the Intercessions, and Marion Bryans reads the Gospel. Steven McIntyre and Frikki Walker both play the organ at this service. Magnus Walker sings the setting which is by Christopher Tambling. There is an Act of Remembrance during the service and the music that accompanies this is the Pie Jesu from the Fauré Requiem sung by Justine Inns.
