Worship for Sunday 28 February 2021 takes place online. This consists this week of:
- A video that forms a service of Holy Communion
- A hymn (‘Will you come and follow me’)
- A video for members of the Young Church and their households
The Vice Provost leads this service from the Cathedral. The Provost, the Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth, is the preacher. Jim McKillop leads some of the prayers, Debbie Lewer leads the Intercessions, and Nicholas Scullion reads the Gospel. The Gregorian chant mass setting (Missa XV) is sung by Christine Walker with Frikki Walker on the chamber organ. Music at Communion, ‘View Me Lord’ by Richard Lloyd, is from a CD recording of the Choir of St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow. Steven McIntyre plays the voluntary at the end of this service, Prelude and Fugue in A minor (WoO 9) by Johannes Brahms, recorded at Dunblane Cathedral.
The video of the service of Holy Communion will also be available on Facebook and YouTube. (The YouTube video might suit those who prefer to watch on a smart TV).
