Worship for 14 November 2021 takes place both in church and online. Seats for the worship taking place in church can be booked at thedatabase.thecathedral.org.uk. Places can be reserved up until an hour before the service starts.
The services at 9 am and 11 am are communion services. The service at 9 am uses plainsong, sung by a cantor. The service at 11 am includes hymns, young church and singing by the Cathedral Choir. Two minutes silence will be observed at the end of the intercessions at both morning services. The service at 5 pm is Choral Evensong.
Online worship is also available which includes the same sermon preached at the morning services in church.
The Provost, the Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth is the preacher at this service and the Vice Provost, the Rev Canon Oliver Brewer-Lennon is the Celebrant. Jim McKillop and Marco Florence lead some of the prayers; the Gospel is read by Gail Smith and Matt Cavanagh leads the Intercessions. Shae Weir sings the mass setting (Mass of St Thomas by David Thorne) with Frikki Walker, organ. The voluntary at the end of the service, Choral Prelude on Rhosymedre by Vaughan Williams is played by Frikki Walker.
