New Vice Provost

St Mary’s Cathedral is delighted to announce the appointment of the Rev Canon Sarah Shaw as Vice Provost.

Sarah Shaw

Speaking about the appointment, Sarah said, “I’m very excited to be joining the team at St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow. I look forward to getting to know, and serving, the vibrant community of faith that is St Mary’s, as well as the University, and the wider community.”

Commenting on this news, the Provost, the Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth said, “I’m absolutely delighted to be able to announce this news. Sarah has many gifts and skills and I’m looking forward to working with her. Sarah has expressed a particular interest in helping to welcome people to St Mary’s and helping them to find a home here. Her experience of working with asylum seekers in Falkirk will be particularly valuable.”

Sarah is currently the Rector of Christ Church Falkirk and the Synod Clerk of the Diocese of Edinburgh. She will take up her new role at the Feast of Pentecost in June.
