Walk the Labyrinth

The St Mary’s labyrinth is a replica of the famous labyrinth of Chartres Cathedral which was installed in the middle ages.

Members of the public are invited to come and walk the labyrinth – a meditative walk around the twists and turns, following the path to the centre. The labyrinth is not a maze – there is only one path to and from the centre.

Walking the labyrinth is a devotional exercise, a mini-pilgrimage and a tool for relaxation. It is a place to pray and think for some and a place to refrain from thinking for others. It is a place to wander and a place to wonder.

“Take off your shoes, for the place you are standing is holy ground.”

Opening Hours

New Year’s Day 12.30 pm – 2.30 pm
Saturday 3 January 2026 between 10 am and 12.30 pm
