St Mary’s welcomes Commonwealth Games visitors. St Mary’s is a Cathedral of the Anglican Communion which welcomes everyone.

Scottish Episcopalians are marching at Glasgow Pride on 18 July 2026. The meeting place will be confirmed nearer the date.

Baptism of Christ

Baptism

The next opportunity for baptism/christenings and confirmation is on Sunday 16 August 2026. Contact the cathedral office using the Baptism Enquiry Form.

Confirmation

The liturgy of Confirmation ‘confirms’ promises made at baptism. It’s a way of claiming the Christian faith as one’s own. Anyone wishing to explore what this means, should indicate interest in participating in a series of classes that will be taking place soon.

St Mary’s Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway in the Scottish Episcopal Church. All churches of the Scottish Episcopal Church are part of the Anglican Communion. St Mary’s is composed of people who have previous experience of many religious backgrounds.

St Mary’s Cathedral Choir will be singing services in Winchester Cathedral from 27 July 2026 to 2 August 2026.

Sunday Services
9 am – Plainsong Eucharist – with Cantor
11 am – Sung Eucharist with refreshments afterwards
5 pm – Sung Evensong

Monday – Saturday
9.30 am – Morning Prayer – Eucharist on some Feast Days
11 am – Tuesdays – Eucharist every week
