The worship for 28 June 2020 can be found in several videos:
- Three videos that form a service of Holy Communion
- An organ voluntary
- A video for members of the Young Church and their households
This week’s worship takes the form of a house eucharist hosted by the Rev Matthew Little. Other voices come from members of the congregation, some of whom are self-isolating at home. This Sunday’s sermon is preached by the Provost. The Vice Provost reads from the Bible and Sister AJ (Companions of Our Lady and St Mungo) leads the Intercessions. Robert Guthrie sings the music for the Ordinary, Mass I (Lux et Origo) in English (Saint Meinrad Kyriale) and in Latin. Music at communion, ‘I heard the voice of Jesus say’ (tune: The Rowan Tree), recorded by Christine and Frikki Walker. An Organ Voluntary, played by the Cathedral’s Director of Music, comes from a CD recording entitled ‘On a Lighter Note’. The photo, ‘Refuweegee’ by @dullhunk, appears in the Sermon under the license CC BY 2.0. Following the stabbing attack in Glasgow at a hotel used as emergency accommodation for asylum seekers during the coronavirus lockdown, other images (from various sources) focus on the welcome of refugees and migrants.
