A Blessing for Pilgrims

The following recording is of the ‘Irish Blessing’ by Bob Chilcott from a CD entitled ‘Listen’ by the Choir of St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow

It contains the words of a blessing appropriate for making a pilgrimage.

The pictures were taken by members of the congregation of roads around the city of Glasgow, as the March 2020 lockdown was imposed and the streets became quiet.

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be ever at your back
May the sunshine warm upon your face
And the rain fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you, may God hold you
Ever in the palm of his hand
