The services at 9 am and 11 am are communion services. We have lots of great music in church this week. The service at 9 am uses plainsong, sung by a cantor. The service at 11 am includes hymns, young church and singing by the Cathedral Choir. This week to mark the fact that this is Advent Sunday, the service will be a Sung Mass. This means that the choir will be singing a little more than it usually does. The musical setting is by Haydn – the Missa Rorate Coeli Desuper.

The service at 5 pm is a special Advent Carol Service with more music from the choir and carols for everyone to sing.

Online worship is also available which includes the same sermon preached at the morning services in church.

The Vice Provost, the Rev Canon Oliver Brewer-Lennon, is the Celebrant at this service; and the Provost, the Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth, is the Deacon. Sister Helena Barrett is the preacher. Nicholas Scullion and Suet Teo-Winter lead some of the prayers; the Gospel is read by Robin Webster; and Robert Mawditt leads the Intercessions.
