Worship for 4 October 2020

This Sunday there are two services in church, and there is Online Worship on this website. There are elements of the Online Worship that will be part of the 11 am service in the Cathedral, and the same sermon will be preached both in the Online Worship and at the services in church. Seats for worship in church can be booked at https://thedatabase.thecathedral.org.uk and are released each week at 12 noon on Tuesday.

The Online Worship for 4 October 2020 can be found in several videos.

  • Three videos that form a service of Holy Communion
  • A hymn: ‘As the deer pants for the water’
  • A video for members of the Young Church and their households

The Provost leads this service from the Cathedral. The Vice Provost is the preacher. Neil Parker leads some of the prayers, Taylor Driggers leads the Intercessions, and Neil Aitken reads the first reading. Frikki Walker plays the organ and piano at this service. Christine Walker sings the anthem, ‘Sing a new song unto the Lord’ by Sally K Albrecht and Shae Weir sings the Mass of St Thomas by David Thorne. The voluntary at the end of the service is Flourish by Ridout.

If it is possible for you to do so, please use a form of payment directly to the Cathedral bank account in order to avoid payment fees on PayPal.

If you would like details of how to give by other methods, please contact the Cathedral Office to be put in touch with the Gift Aid Recorder, Alan McCulloch.

Thank you for your offering. If you usually put cash on the plate, please, if you can, find a way of giving electronically at this time to enable the ministry of the Cathedral to continue.
