
The weekend of 20 & 21 September was Doors Open Weekend in Glasgow and St Mary’s was open to visitors.
Many local people took the chance to come inside the doors and look at the stunning murals and to find out more about the congregation.

The Rt Rev Gene Robinson, the Bishop of New Hampshire was the celebrant and preacher at St Mary’s on 3 August 2008 at the 1030 service.
This was the first time that Bishop Gene has visited Scotland since becoming the Bishop of New Hampshire in 2004 and the first chance to hear his reflections on the Lambeth Conference.

The Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, the Most Rev Fred Hiltz will be the preacher at the 1030 service on 13 July 2008. Archbishop Fred is visiting the Diocese along with other bishops from around the Anglican Communion who will then make their way to the Lambeth Conference at Canterbury.
Archbishop Fred has been the Primate of the Anglican Church in Canada since his election by the 2007 Canadian General Synod.
Members of the diocese are all welcome to meet with Archbishop Fred and the other visiting bishops at a special service in St Margaret’s Church, Newlands at 1830 on 13 July 2008.
